Synopsis:
A comedy series, set in San Francisco, poking fun at the life of a rock star and his band, starring musician Chris Isaak portraying himself, his real-life band members and an ensemble of created characters. Mixing fact and fiction, the series takes a look at the world of rock music, following Isaak on the road, into the studio and trying to live an ordinary life despite his very extraordinary profession as he deals with its unique problems: the constant attention of beautiful, if sometimes nutty, women; the antics of the oddball musicians who make up his band, Silvertone; the trials and tribulations of his savvy, but neurotic manager, Yola; and the always entertaining relationships with the other celebrities who share his unconventional world.

Chris' band, Silvertone, consists of drummer Kenney Dale Johnson, a big, well-read Texan, who is the philosopher of the group; bassist Rowland Salley, who is intense and superstitious; and guitarist Hershel Yatovitz, the innocent who sees the best side of people. Bad-boy keyboard player Anson can't seem to stay out of trouble. Mona, straddling the line between reality and imagination, is a beautiful nude woman lounging on a revolving circular sofa and serves as Chris' advisor in times of trouble, an oracle who offers him sometimes-cryptic advice.
