Synopsis:
In May 1967, the California-bred rock group, The Turtles, were rapidly on the rise, thanks to their No. 1 smash single, "Happy Together". Now at a new pinnacle of their fame, The Turtles' tour brings them for the first time to the hippest city in the world: London, England. Lead singer Howard Kaylan is apprehensive about The Turtles' acceptance in London. However, for the moment, Howard has entrée to the glittering heart of the rock world. At the legendary swinging nightclub, the Speakeasy, Howard is introduced to The Beatles who turn out to be very different than expected, indeed and to the soon-to-be legendary Jimi Hendrix. Treated as a peer by many of the English musicians, but treated with genuine respect by Hendrix, Howard bonds with Jimi, exchanging life stories, anecdotes, and insights into the joys and pitfalls of sudden fame.
